Played with some ink and Neocolor watercolour crayons. I know I didn't end up with much of a rainbow effect - I just grabbed crayons and went with it.
First I drew the circle in the middle using some calligraphy ink and a calligraphy pen. The ink dried too quickly for me to smudge it right away - I redrew the lines at the end and after each line I drew my finger down the line or wiped the ink to the side before it dried. It looks much more interesting with the lines smudged than cleanly drawn.
Experiement and create something everyday.
