Index Cards 54- 58

I can't remember if the prompt for this index card was envelopes or mail.  I had saved some of the more unique pieces of envelopes when I was soaking stamps off in the spring - they make a unique collage.

Stamps? Paris?  Not sure of the prompt, but I've kept all these retired stamps because I love the memory of being in Paris.

This was suppose to be cogs or wheels and I do not like this card at all!

I created a sunrise on watercolour paper.  I love how the brush strokes turned out on this one.

Queen of Hearts was the prompt here - I stamped the crown and traced the hearts, putting zentangles into each of them.

If you are Canadian, I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  If I don't post tomorrow it will be because we're eating turkey!

Maps, Happiness and Gargoyles

Prompt #16 of Prompt60 was altered maps.  I've always loved maps and learned to be the navigator while traveling with my Poppa.  I've added a Stampin'Up! globe stamp and blue ink around the rough edges of each paper.

I was glad to have some black Gesso on hand because that was to be the base of this prompt which was a recipe or list of something.  I decided to follow Tammy's example of a recipe for happiness.  The stamp is one of the ones we have at Stampin'Up! right now - I love it and will be keeping it when it gets  retired.
I covered the black gesso with a bit of white in the middle, where I would be doing writing and adding colour.  I stamped the image and wrote out my list before added rainbow colours with Neocolor II water soluble crayons.  I doodled some white "things" and the beautiful circle is one from a number that Emily Lagore shared with Allison and I on our visit.  I love how it pops off the page.

This prompt was to concentrate on neutral colours.  When Tammy mentioned greys I immediately thought of the gargoyles on Notre Dame.  So I pulled out a photocopy of one of my gargoyle photos.  I simply played around with black,  Payne's Grey and a bit of brown and let the water and watercolour paper do the rest.  Once it was dried I did a gel transfer of the photocopy so that the watercolour would show through.

That's it for today - sorry I got behind in posting.

This is My Word

I am so blessed to have an awesome choir director who picks fantastic music to sing God's praises. This piece, which we practiced on Thursday, always makes me close my eyes and want to dance. It pulled me to bring it home to art it. I carved the word "word" and used one of my other alphabet sets and some stencils for the ‪#‎prompt60‬ No12- to use alphabet stamps , stencils, or stickers to write my words. I didn't want to stamp out all the words to the anthem, so just chose the title and my hand carved"word"

I don't think I've posted any other "Prompt60" pieces….but I'll get caught up.

DDP - Stamped Mandala

Daily Paper Prompt #21 - Stamped Mandala
This was easy for me - being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator - I have tons of stamps to choose from.  Tammy's other criteria for this though was to use alphabet or number stamps.  That made it easier for sure!

I'll also share today, a page I did while I was in Winnipeg this summer.  It's in a small 6x6 found paper book.

Have a good day.
