Limited Supplies

This was a limited supply challenge for Prompt 60.  I had: one tube acrylic paint, one magazine, one pan of watercolours, one brush, one jar of water, one jar distress ink, one marker and one jar of modge podge. My magazine was an old Vogue which I had picked up at our second hand store in town - it's amazing how many pairs of sunglasses there were.  I cut them out first and then went through the magazine again to cut out words that caught my eye and created a found poem.

I didn't doodle on the paint because I didn't want to lose the effects that the paint made.

You Can….

Prompt #21 of Prompt60 was "Found Poetry".  I now have a little box where my words are organized alphabetically, and I have a section for phrases and a section for random words that a big a ready for their letters to be cut apart.  So - I went through all my little envelopes and picked out words that caught my eye.  I prepped my page too with spray inks and did the word selection while it was drying.

Next I started forming statements or sentences…..and outlined the words in either black or white.  As you can see, I had an accident with my white paint pen, so I just encouraged the paint to dribble down the page.

Ocean Creativity

 The 4th prompt for Prompt60 was creativity - to either find a quote about creativity, or write about creativity.  I decided to write what creativity meant to me - dividing each with washi tape - shaped in a box because sometimes you just have to force yourself outside of your box.

Prompt #5 was a double prompt of "blur/sharp and found poetry about the ocean.  My "sharp" portion is really just a piece of some fabulous paper I found in Banff that has swirly ocean wavy lines on it.  I blurred paint on the opposite side, looked through my stash of words to see why hit me in the topic of ocean - and finally stamped some shell images.
